Back in October 2017 we had to put our cat Jazz down who was 18 years old. This was a hard time for our family and a terrible loss. After four months our family decided that it was time to give another kitty a loving home. We know Jonah could never take the place of Jazz but that we had enough love in our hearts to share. Our family is so thankful to SAAP for choosing us to be Jonah’s Family. He has been an amazing addition and we love him sooooo much!

We recently lost our 14 year old RikkiTikkiTabbi to Aplastic Anemia. It didn't feel right referring to our furbabies as 4, rather than 5, so we knew we had to open our hearts and home to another cat. It was too soon for another tabby, or a male, and we have 2 black beauties now, so we were looking for something different, but an older adult, which are harder to home...everyone wants kittens.
After looking thru the available kitties, picking a few to ask about, and finding out which would be the best fit in our home, we came home with Elsa (fka Karma).
Re homing a timid 4-5 year old cat is much different than an adventurous, fearless kitten. She is adjusting well, loving ear rubs, scratches at the base of her tail, and allows the occasional tummy rub. We are rewarded with purrs and air biscuits. Elsa is slowly getting acquainted with her furry siblings. While they may never be besties, they are learning to peacefully share the bed.
Thank you SAAP, staff, fosters, and volunteers for all you do.
We are back to a family of 5 furry flurries.

So glad to give these girls the best furever home ever.
Adopted Koda 1st then got Sadie 1 month later. They are perfect for each other. The live the life! Good food, good fun, great walks and adventures. And great parents. They love to eat anything and everything and have filled out nicely. Sadie was pretty thin. They run and play all day long but love to relax in their king size beds. They have mended our hearts from the loss of the 2 greatest dogs ever, Mike & Johnny, and are trying to become the next greatest dogs ever. Have recommended SAAP to many people and also found many people who adopted that way.

the dog we have is a joy she has really fit into our family really good our two dogs loves her and she loves them. thank you saap you are the great

I had been looking for a dog for our handicapped son and found Mr Stubbs through SAAP. Possibly the cutest doggie in the world. Then Mr Stubbs had problems playing with people and had a lot of anxiety with people so we found Max (Mr Nobody) who knew how to interact with people and dogs. We got Max for Mr Stubbs and it was a perfect match. We cannot imagine our lives without our amazing and entertaining boys. Mr Stubbs fell in love with my husband and is his tv watching buddy and Max is my bed hogging baby who has to sleep curled up with me.

After a divorce and seeing this baby right after she was disguarded on the side of the road and knowing she got sent to SAAP. I started following SAPP on FB. And one day there she was. I decided it was time to open my heart and apply for her. Long story short Cappy rescued me! She is my angel, my shadow ♥️. I cannot Thank everyone at SAAP for all you do for these babies!

I adopted Piper, back in October of 2015. When I first saw her in her cage, she looked so sad. I picked her up and hugged her, and knew then she was mine. Piper has been nothing but loyal, affectionate, and full of love. When I was severely sick two years ago, she kept watch over me, and was by my side, she would not even allow Diablo to come near me.
Diablo was adopted in February of 2016. He is just as adorable and affectionate as Piper, if she allows him to get near me. Diablo is very loyal and loving. The best thing that has ever happened to me was these two dogs. Love doesn't even describe how much they have given me. In fact it's hard not to sleep without having them by my side. Piper sleeps on my right side by my chest, Diablo sleeps on my left by my leg. These dogs are awesome! Thank you SAAP for these two precious dogs!
